The Museum: The Air Park
Upon exiting the building, the guest will enter a six-acre Air Park like no other. Soaring tensile fabric canopies create a pattern of light and shade. An extensive collection is displayed in themed areas where the aircraft are dramatically mounted.
The entire Aerospace Innovation Museum campus affords many opportunities for memorials, ceremonies and concerts. The Air Park is a classic setting that can be transformed into a magical place in the evenings with lights and video production. Aircraft such as the c-5 Galaxy can be opened as a spectacular venue.
AIM at Travis outdoor Air Park will feature 25 planes and their significant individual stories to be viewed by use of QR codes utilizing smart phone technology. Guests will be able to access information they choose presented by USAF veterans as "virtual hosts" for the visitors educational experience on their hand held phones. Information can also be saved and viewed in the comfort of their homes.
